Depending upon the season and weapon, the Trophy Bulls are found from the Juniper Pinion Low-Country to the High Country Meadows and Timber.
All Units we hunt, 18,30, 34, 36, 37, and 38 are renowned for their herds of Elk with good numbers of trophy-class Bulls.
Elk hunting requires long days, navigating steep terrain.
New Mexico Elk hunting is generally rated from moderate to extreme.
Archery hunts take place in September. This time of year, the bulls are rutting, and early morning bugles are echoing across the canyons. During the rut, the most exciting tactic is, Calling enticing the bugling bulls into range.

Our Muzzle Loader hunts take place in early October.
This time of year, the bulls are at the end of the breeding season. Bugling is still common on this hunt.
Tactics during this hunt are, Calling and Spot and Stalk.
Rifle hunts are mid to late October. You will see younger bulls still hanging out with the cows.
The larger bulls are leaving the herd to rest up and recover.
We will be doing a lot of Glassing and Spot and Stalk tactics to get you to your trophy.
